May it never be! Let God be true, and every man a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” (Ro 3:4)

Introduction

Why another Christian blog? Theology, as the study of God and the things of God, does not come naturally to me. Many doctrinal issues are also lofty and not applicable to every day life. In that sense theology to me is like a road map. If I am to find my way around in a foreign territory, I need to have a map. The time to get a map is not when you are lost, but you need to have a map ready before you find yourself in an unfamiliar territory. This is the reason why I and other Christians should study theology. While daily devotional reading of the Bible is good, but the hard work of Bible based theology is a Christian vocation.

This blog will not be limited to my studies and reviews of theology but also reflect my concerns of all things related to my Christian faith. In essence that could be anything under the sun. Nevertheless, the posts will reflect my particular Christian bent.

I’ve been thinking what my first post (not counting this one, being an introduction) for this new blog should be. I’ve decided to elaborate on the name of this blog, specifically the Calvinistic aspect. Look for my first post on Calvinism in the next couple of days.
